Tucked away in the dark corners of the Google booth at Mobile World Congress, amidst several miniature hubs inhabited by all types of various companies, is a stand dedicated to all things Acer. Included as part of the selection was the CloudMobile, the proud owner of a coveted iF Product Design award. So were we that impressed by its trophy-winning feature? Yes and no. It's not tough on the eyes by any stretch of the imagination, especially given its fancy textured back and curvacious construct, but we have a difficult time declaring this to feature the best design of the show, nor is it necessarily much of a ground-breaker. The build quality itself doesn't quite hold a candle to what you'll experience on something like the ceramic-like aluminum treatment used on the HTC One S, but yet doesn't feel like it will smash into a million pieces if we give it the 'ol heave-ho.

But perhaps the CloudMobile earned the honors by producing a respectable internal design: it offers a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon chipset and 4.3-inch 720p HD display, for instance, and that panel is absolutely stunning with great viewing angles. We weren't allowed to view any part of the OS beyond the lock and a couple home screens, no doubt due to the model's pre-production firmware, so we'll need to leave our impressions of the UI for another time. From what we can tell, it will definitely be offering a customized skin, though it's unclear to what extent that will shine through in the final production version, still due to come out sometime in Q3. For now, enjoy the images and video underneath.

PHILADELPHIA (February 24, 2012) A new report from researchers at the Drexel University School of Public Health identifies patterns in the misuse of illicit drugs among young adults who also misuse prescription drugs. The report, "Misuse of Prescription and Illicit Drugs among High-Risk Adults" in Los Angeles and New York, was recently published in the first issue of the Journal of Public Health Research.

This is the first report to compare patterns of prescription and illicit drug misuse among high-risk young adults who are already misusing prescription drugs. Dr. Stephen Lankenau, associate professor at Drexel and principal investigator, and colleagues, suggest that drug treatment providers should be aware of this pattern of drug use to treat their clients more effectively.

Between 2009 and 2011, Lankenau and colleagues interviewed 596 young adults between the ages of 16 and 25 in Los Angeles and New York who had misused prescription drugs within the previous 90 days. The study included interviews with three high-risk groups of young adults: injection drug users (IDUs), homeless persons and polydrug users (users who combine drugs during a drug-using event).

Results showed that participants commonly received prescriptions for opioids, tranquilizers and stimulants, prior to misusing these drugs. In addition, using prescription drugs and illicit drugs at the same time was common in both cities. Drug users tended to use an illicit drug that provided a similar effect as the prescription drug they were already misusing.

The two cities also provided contrasting drug markets, which influenced the types of drugs misused. New York participants more frequently misused oxycodone, heroin and cocaine, while Los Angeles participants more frequently misused codeine, marijuana and methamphetamine.

Last year, Lankenau and colleagues published findings about the pathway to drug misuse among a subset of this study population, which indicated that misuse of prescription opioids often preceded the use of injected drugs.

Lankenau is a sociologist who combines public health concerns and mixed-method research designs to the study of high-risk youth, out-of-treatment drug users, homelessness, and HIV/AIDS. In addition to this recent study, he is leading evaluation studies of overdose prevention programs in Los Angeles and Philadelphia to determine programs that effectively reduce the risks of fatal drug overdoses. He teaches graduate courses that apply qualitative methods to the study of public health issues. Lankenau received a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and a postdoctoral fellowship funded by NIDA.

There are typically two kinds of presenters at the Oscars: the earnest and the hilarious. But every year, a handful of actors manage to capture the goal of either category in a way that makes the moment unforgettable.

On Sunday night, the Kodak Theatre saw plenty of earnest presenters. Natalie Portman, Colin Firth and Morgan Freeman reminded viewers why we love the Oscars.

But it was the presenters with the funny bits who really stole the show. Whether comparing short films to male genitalia or tossing cymbals onstage when they should have been reading out the name of an award winner, we couldn't stop chuckling. Here, the MTV Movies team handpicks the five most memorable presenters of the 2012 Oscars.

Robert Downey Jr., Documentarian
Trying to stay ahead of the curve, Robert Downey Jr. and a camera crew joined Gwyneth Paltrow onstage to present the Best Documentary award in an attempt to popularize his new art form, "live documentary." Of course, as Paltrow pointed out, that's called the news, but we couldn't get enough of their Tony Stark/ Pepper Potts-style banter several months before "The Avengers" hits theaters. And we like that Downey joked that he turned down the role in "The Descendants" with George Clooney looking on from the crowd.

Emma Stone Is Super Good
Yes, Emma Stone is charming, but we were still surprised at how well she pulled off the task of co-presenting Best Visual Effects alongside Ben Stiller. First-time Oscar presenter Stone acted out her skit flawlessly and even managed to poke fun at Stiller's previous presenting stunts in the process. But it was her asking "Superbad" co-star Jonah Hill to come onstage and dance with her — and his subsequent refusal — that made this one of the funniest moments of the night.

Sandra Bullock Is "Extremely" Bilingual
Did you know Sandra Bullock was bilingual? It certainly made her presenting the Oscar for Best Foreign Film all the more fitting. And although the actress said she was going to present the award in Mandarin, Bullock actually announced the award in German. For those who wondered about the Academy's motivation for having the "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" star present in a different language, it turns out it was because the Academy Awards "are an international show and because there are over 1.2 billion people in China." So why not?

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis Make Music
Leave it to the stars of the upcoming political comedy "The Campaign," Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, to make one of the funniest and most dramatic appearances of the night. Dressed in all-white tuxedos, the duo emerged from the orchestra pit smashing cymbals together. Because how else do you expect comedians to present the award for Best Original Song? Fortunately, winner Bret McKenzie also had a good sense of humor in his acceptance speech for "The Muppets" song "Man or Muppet."

"Bridesmaids" Stars Toast Scorsese Again
Who else but the cast of "Bridesmaids" could make presenting the three short-film categories one of the most hilarious of the night? Sure, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph's whole opening spiel was one big penis joke, but can you expect any less when Melissa McCarthy earned her Oscar nomination for a part that featured her comically defecating in a sink? We're still trying to figure out what the rules of Rose Byrne and McCarthy's Martin Scorsese drinking game are, but we'll let you know when we do.

The Wireless Charging Card (WiCC) is an IEEE Power Matters Alliance (PMA) standard, with the potential to integrate Duracell Powermat technology within every mobile gadget. The incredibly thin device resembles those wafer-like SmartMedia cards once used in early digital cameras, with a similar form factor, but significantly more practicality. Each WiCC includes all the PowerMat circuitry found in the company's charging cases, while also doubling as an NFC antenna. The card's success is of course contingent on cooperation from device manufacturers, who will need to add a slim connector above the battery leads, including two for power, two for NFC and two for data -- an app will monitor charging. Powermat reps say that such a connector would cost pennies to implement, however, making it a potentially easy sell.

Powermat President Daniel Schreiber sees this as a major breakthrough for the smartphone industry, saying "we're going to do for wireless power what the memory card did for storage in mobile phones." We had a chance to take a look at a mock-up of the wireless card at MWC, which was resting just above the battery in a Samsung Galaxy S II. Because the phone's battery is slightly recessed, both the card and battery fit below the device's original backplate -- the WiCC lies flush with the phone's camera lens. Overall, we think there's some serious potential here, assuming device manufacturers are game to come on board. Still, don't expect to see these hitting stores anytime this year -- the company expects its other products to come to market long before the Wireless Charging Card. So for now, jump past the break to take a closer look, but don't make any plans to toss that power adapter just yet.

Wellington: South African captain AB de Villiers anchored his side's run chase as they beat New Zealand by six wickets at Wellington Regional Stadium on Saturday to take a 1-0 lead in their three-match one-day international series.

De Villiers stroked his 13th one-day century to finish 106 not out and combined in a 90-run partnership with JP Duminy (46) and for 129-runs with Faf du Plessis (66 not out) as the visitors overhauled New Zealand's 253-9 with 28 balls to spare.

The result ended New Zealand's unbeaten run of seven matches at the stadium stretching back to January 2006 and was the highest successful run chase at the ground, eclipsing New Zealand's 237-2 against Zimbabwe in 2001.

The decision review system was also put to use by both sides, as it overturned three dismissals given on the field by umpires Chris Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth.

Du Plessis was given out lbw on 10 from the bowling of Doug Bracewell but immediately requested a review and the decision was overturned with replays showing the ball would have bounced well above the wickets.

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who had top scored with 56 for the hosts, also had two dismissals overturned.

He was given out lbw on the first ball he faced from Lonwabo Tsotsobe and again when he was ruled to have been caught behind by De Villiers from Robin Petersen when he was on three.

Replays showed the lbw delivery would have bounced over the stumps, while he failed to hit the ball from Peterson.

The 30-year-old then combined with Kane Williamson for a 79-run third wicket partnership, with the 21-year-old Williamson eventually making 55.

James Franklin (32) and Andrew Ellis (20) provided some lower-middle order resistance to guide the hosts to their total.

South Africa's fast bowlers had proved to be difficult to get away as they bowled short of a length, while medium-pacer Jacques Kallis cleverly took the pace off the ball to get rid of the dangerous Jesse Ryder and McCullum.

The second match is in Napier on Wednesday.
