Rain has cleared all of Tarrant County, cleared the 635 Loop in Dallas, only in the SE corner. Warning continues to 6:45p for the cell near Palestine in Anderson County.

Strong winds with severe cell NW of Palestine kicking out 60mph winds heading down HWY 287 into town.

Another report of nickel-size hail, just north of Cayuga. Storm is almost right over Malakoff now moving in, marching right up HWY 31 toward Midway and then into Athens.

Line of strong storms across southern Kaufman, NE Navarro, Hederson and southern Van Zandt counties. Strongest cells near NE corner of Narrarro over Buffalo, another just south of Canton and another in the SW corner of Zan Zandt counties. Small hail, 50mph winds and heavy rain with these storms as a Weather Advisory is issued for them.

Between 2:30pm and 3pm this afternoon the Dallas Fire Department was assisting motorists caught in high water on Camp Wisdom Rd and Chaucher in Redbird area.

Had to take a break from the blog to do the Rangers forecast that runs on the Jumbotron tonight. Looks like rain will clear the ballpark around 5pm. Heavy rain moving over southern Dallas county now, south of Kennedale, heading toward Mansfield. Extends into northern Johnson County. Heavy rain hitting the tornado-hit area of Lancaster for next 30minutes. Rain has cleared western 2/3?s of Tarrant County. Some cells developing in Parker County south of Weatherford and over Possum Kingdom Lake.

2nd round of heavy rain over eastern Tarrant County and heading into western Dallas County. Both areas under Flood Warning right now.
UPDATE 2:08PM Radar shows more heavy rain coming in from the west into the Flood Warned areas. Flooding likely to become more widespread over the next hour. Please do not drive in the warned area if you can, hold off to later this afternoon. More than half of all flooding deaths occur in cars.
UPDATE 2:02PM This is the Flood Warning, up to 2? of rain fallen already with more on the way. Flooding reported around Irving. ?Strongest storms right now over Benbrook and eastern Johnson Counties. UPDATE 1:45PM Street and creek flooding around Irving. Flash Flood Warning coming out for eastern Tarrant and Western Dallas counties. UPDATE 1:41PM We?ll have to watch to our south where there is better energy for updrafts. I?m pointing to the pocket of 1500 CAPE that is in the warmer air. These storms could develop into severe weather and move into our southern counties. Storm cell just north of Midlothian is showing some rotation as it cranks up. I expect it?ll produce some small hail with some lightning and heavy rain as it heads toward Red Oak. UPDATE 1:35PM Storm over Benbrook probably dropping pea-sized hail. Reports from Irving of pea-sized hail and some street flooding MacArthur Rd around 6th Street (thank you Mark Drees). ?Again, this strong cell is not reaching severe levels. Heading right for Love Field. UPDATE 1:26pm Storms have formed over Benbrook ?doown to Crowley moving east at 10mph. Will move over I-35W in south Fort Worth. Strongest storm continues to be over Irving. UPDATE 1:25PM Strong cell developing over Hurst and Euless, right behind the stronger one over Irving. Heavy rain, small hail continue to be the main threats. No warnings out at this time. No rotation showing in radar. ??????????????????- Storms are rolling over eastern Denton and Tarrant counties heading into Dallas and Collin. These storms are moving slowly east at 10mph and dropping heavy rain and perhaps even pea-size hail. There is a FLOOD ADVISORY in effect for Tarrant and Denton Counties until 3:30pm to warn residents of Urban and Small Stream flooding. The storms continue to be NON-SEVERE. The strongest cell right now is moving over Irving heading toward downtown Dallas and will effect Love Field. I?ll be watching areas just south of metroplex, over Johnson and Ellis Counties for possible severe weather forming later this afternoon along a stalled frontal boundary.
